Tea Yoga, consisting of tea facial steam and Yoga, is a way of mental and physical cultivation, for the inner peace and bodily health. It involves breathing concentration, meditation and physical exercises, and has deep roots in the philosophies and practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism.

Technically, Tea Yoga starts from tea facial steam, with yoga afterwards. Tea steam opens the skin’s pores while deeply cleansing and rejuvenating the skin. With breathing concentration and meditation, it also helps to soothe, tranquilise and purify the mind. Then through exercise, breathing and meditation, yoga controls the body and mind to further harmonise the inner spirit with the environment, achieving enlightenment and deep tranquility.

===== Equipment=====
* A ceramic or porcelain bowl, large enough to fit the practitioner's face in. A bowl of diameter 25 cm is suitable for most people.
* A large towel to trap the tea steam, a bath towel would be suitable for this purpose.
* Some tea (Green tea, oolong or black tea), according to the practitioner's preference.

===== Place =====
A quiet room with good ventilation.

===== Time =====
The time for tea yoga depends on the practitioner's preference. Before sleeping or after waking up is generally fine, but NOT in the following circumstances: within 1 hour after meal, after alcohol or in a bad mood.

===== Table and Posture =====
The height of the table should be appropriate, so that the practitioner can easily lay the forearm on it with relaxed shoulders and arms. The practitioner can either sit up straight on the floor or on a chair.

===== Procedure of Tea Yoga Practice =====
==== 1) Facial steam with hot tea 茶熏得气 ====

* Begin by cleansing your face with a non-abrasive soap such as glycerin or a gentle chamomile soap that contains no fragrances that can irritate the skin.
* Boil the water and make tea in the large bowl. Place the bowl on a flat surface such as a table.
* Drape the large towel around your head to trap the steam that rises from the boiling water. Adjust the distance between the face and the water surface at your convenience. Steam will rise to the face.
* Keep your eyes and mouth closed.
* While steaming the face, focus on your breath and meditate.
* Steam skin for up to 15 to 20 minutes.
* Dry your face with a towel after steaming.
* Drink the tea according to your preference.
==== 2)导引呼吸 ====
==== 3)仙女补气 ====
==== 4)静坐观想 ====
==== 5)相应冥想 ====
==== 6)还归原处 ====
